Use the UK Socket Tester to verify that a UK type mains outlet socket is wired properly and grounded. This is not normally a problem in the UK, but if you have an older property or are in doubt about your wiring then this tester can be used to confirm you will be grounded.
Even if your outlet socket were wired incorrectly, there is no danger of electrocution when using indoor earthing products as they have built-in safety protection. However, if your outlet socket is not wired properly then you will not receive the benefits of grounding. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to check that their outlet sockets are in good working order.

Outlet Tester Instructions
Simply plug it into an outlet, turn on the power and 3 amber lights will read that your outlet is grounded and ready for use with an earthing product. Any other combination of lights indicates the outlet is not properly grounded. If one outlet is not grounded in the home, you might consider testing another outlet. It is possible to have some outlets that are grounded and some that are not in the same home. You will need to consult an electrician about outlets that are not grounded.
