What is an Earthing Mat?

An Earthing Mat, also known as a Grounding Mat or a Universal Mat, is a convenient and versatile way to enjoy the healing benefits of earthing indoors at home or at work. An Earthing Mat works the same way as all earthing products. The conductive mat connects via a wire to a custom-designed earthing plug which plugs straight into a standard powerpoint connecting you with Earth's natural healing energy. You can use an Earthing Mat anywhere you work, sit, rest and even sleep meaning you can earth inside wherever is convenient for you. 

When you have contact with the Earth via an Earthing Mat, free electrons are taken up into the  body. These electrons help to neutralise and balance out an excess of damaging free radicals in our body which, if left unchecked, can cause inflammation. In addition, the Earth's surface has a negative charge and when we connect to it, the electrical stability of our body is restored, allowing our bodies to self-regulate and heal. This is particularly beneficial when working in an office environment where we are often surrounded by very high electrical fields. Grounding using an Earthing Mat greatly reduces the electrical voltage we are exposed to. 

How Do I Use an Earthing Mat?

An Earthing Mat is a very versatile earthing product and can be used almost anywhere. Many people like to place the Earthing Mat on top of a desk under a keyboard with their hands resting on it as they work at their computer. It makes a very handy mouse mat too! Others like to place the Earthing Mat underneath their desk and rest their feet on it as they work. At home, the Earthing Mat can be used anywhere you sit and relax such as watching TV. The Earthing Mat is also great for travelling and can be rolled up to fit into your bag or suitcase. 

Wherever you place your Earthing Mat, simply connect it to a standard household or office powerpoint with the lead and plug provided. The custom-designed non-electrical earthing plug connects only to the earth wire in the powerpoint. The other two pins are made from plastic so no electrical power is used. Place your hands or your feet onto the Earthing Mat to connect to the Earth via the Earthing Mat. Bare skin contact is great but the mats can also be used with cotton socks or stockings or placed under a cotton sheet while sleeping.

What is an Earthing Mat made from?

The Earthing Mat is made of 100% eco-friendly and recyclable TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomers) which is UV resistant and lightweight. The Earthing Mat is PVC free, latex free, chloride free and non-toxic materials are used in its production. The Earthing Mat has a soft, leathery feel for comfort and closed cell construction which prevents germs from absorbing in the mat. 

The Earthing Mat is easy to clean. Simply wipe it down with a non-corrosive cleaner and leave to air dry.
